My images/objects try to exemplify the disparate aspects which always swirl in my mind when listening to music
My images/objects try to exemplify the disparate aspects which always swirl in my mind when listening to music. Elements of Richard Strauss’ symphonic poem Eine Alpensinfonie, op. 64 are referred to by paintings of my synaesthetic impression, in combination with associative cues and free allusions to history, nature, science, and modern life. According to the partition of the symphonic poem with appropriate titles defined by the composer, the complete cycle of art objects includes 22 frames sized 26.8 x 26.8 cm. 12 objects are displayed here on two canvas. Each frame combines a small synaesthetic painting of the pure aesthetics of music, one of my photos, alienated as negative, and various ready-mades which refer to the particular motto of each musical section.
