Sound has taken on a personality of its own
Katherine Justiani’s works are complex digital collages as well as self-portraits.They show Justiani surrounded by colour, shape, text and symbolic imagery that represent her emotional and synaesthetic sensations while listening to particular pieces of music. The images might give us a sense of how she might feel when being washed in her own visualisations of sound falling over her ego and its interactions with her experience; as if the sound has taken on a personality of its own that she is attempting to interact with.
